Arsenal icon David Seaman has hinted at a return to football with Hollywood-backed Wrexham following Ben Foster’s arrival at the Welsh club. Foster, who played for Wrexham at the start of his career, has re-signed for the Red Dragons until the end of the season.

The club, who are owned by star American actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, lost first-choice goalkeeper Rob Lainton to a serious knee injury. Former Manchester United and Watford star Foster has been plucked out of retirement to help their National League promotion push.

And ex-England shot-stopper Seaman has now hinted at a move to the non-league side. Taking to social media, the 59-year-old reached out to Foster and asked if the 39-year-old required help after returning to professional football.

“Do you need a GK coach?” Seaman joked before tagging Foster and Wrexham owner Reynolds on Saturday morning, hours before Foster made his second debut for the club.

“If you’d told me 18 years ago that I’d have gone on to have the career that I have had, I probably wouldn’t have believed you to be honest so I do owe a lot to Wrexham.”
