WWE tease possible Brock Lesnar role at Stomping Grounds ahead of RAW

Rollins is scheduled to defend RAW’s premier title this Sunday at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington against Corbin whom he beat at WWE Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.

The Lone Wolf, though, believes his loss was unfair as he blamed referee John Cone for bad officiating and thus will choose the official for what could be the main event at Stomping Grounds tonight on RAW.

WWE hinted at Lesnar possibly filling in that role as he holds the Money in the Bank contract that promises him a world title shot at any time and place he wishes within the next 12 months and also has unfinished business with the Universal Champion.

Rollins launched a savage attack with a steel chair on The Beast at Super ShowDown when he tried to cash in after the title-holder was knocked out by Corbin in a post-match attack.

Or perhaps Corbin will extend an invitation to “Mr. Money in the Bank” Brock Lesnar to purvey some up-close-and-personal paranoia at WWE Stomping Grounds?

The Beastslayer did the same last week on RAW to Sami Zayn, who served as the Special Guest Outside Referee and controversially disqualified him during his match against Kevin Owens.

Both Owens and Zayn now pose as serious candidates to officiate this match as they are major allies of Corbin but Lesnar is still strongly linked with that role.

WWE.com announced: “Universal Champion Seth Rollins stood tall last Monday night on Raw after obliterating the main event’s special outside guest official, Sami Zayn, with a steel chair.

“However, The Beastslayer might not look so triumphant when the dust settles at WWE Stomping Grounds, where he will defend his title against Baron Corbin.

“Throwing a wrench into the works, The Lone Wolf will choose the Special Guest Referee for his own title opportunity and will reveal his decision on Raw.

“Corbin has yet to make his decision, leaving the WWE Universe and The Architect pondering exactly how he’ll tip the scales in his favor.

“Will Corbin choose Zayn to call the match “down the middle,” based on his work as the outside official this past Monday night, or might Corbin select Rollins’ Raw opponent Kevin Owens, who has also spoken favorably of the former Acting Raw General Manager?

“Or perhaps Corbin will extend an invitation to “Mr. Money in the Bank” Brock Lesnar to purvey some up-close-and-personal paranoia at WWE Stomping Grounds?

“Whatever Corbin announces, you won’t want to miss the fallout.”

Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman also hinted at the possibility of his client donning the referee’s shirt at Stomping Grounds.

However, Heyman refuses to confirm or deny anything after the attack The Conqueror suffered at Super ShowDown.

The Advocate said: “I’m not insinuating that Brock Lesnar will be the Special Guest Referee when Seth Rollins tries to defend the title against Baron Corbin at Stomping Grounds.

“But I’m not insinuating that he won’t be either.”

If Lesnar doesn’t get picked as the Special Guest Referee then an appearance at Stomping Grounds can still not be ruled out as he may try to either cash in or continue his mind games with Rollins.
