Roy Keane’s brutal Jordan Pickford verdict leaves Micah Richards in stitches

Roy Keane's damning assessment of Jordan Pickford's goalkeeping ability left Micah Richards laughing live on Sky Sports.

The Manchester United icon, who is not shy when it comes to criticising current stars, tore into the England stopper for his role in Manchester City's second goal at Goodison.

With the 29-year-old flying across his goal to try and thwart Erling Haaland, he went too far and only got a hand on the Norwegian's header as it dropped into the net.

Keane fumed: "Pickford for the goal, my goodness. He looks so small in there.

"There’s no spring, he’s not anticipating it. Micah said before the game he’s a top goalkeeper – he’s not."

Richards chuckled as he turned his chair away from the view of the former midfielder, with presenter Kelly Cates swiftly moving on to the 3-0 defeat in general.

A Twitter user chuckled: "Micah trying not to laugh at the end." A second posted: "Micah trying not crease there at the end."

Another user agreed with Keane by saying: "Roy is spot on. He isn't a top gk.

"His best attribute is that he can kick the ball a long distance, which usually results in the opposition winning possession back."

City went four points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table with three games to play thanks to their three points, with Everton still in real danger of relegation.

Ilkay Gundogan was at the double in the 3-0 victory, as Sean Dyche's men remained just a point clear of the relegation zone with one spot already confirmed.

Southampton were relegated following a 2-0 defeat at home to Fulham on Saturday, with Leicester having a game in hand over 18th placed Leeds.
