Jake Paul compared to person who has ‘just learned to walk’ as he plays football

Jake Paul has been slammed for his poor football skills after posting a video of himself scoring a goal past a less than enthusiastic goalkeeper.

The YouTuber uploaded a video of himself kicking the ball past the lethargic stopper, prompting ridicule from fans for his poor technique. Ahead of Liverpool’s 1-0 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League, he posted the video with the caption: “Liverpool…Reds… @MoSalah taking the UCL final today.”

A topless Paul throws down the orange ball as says: “Let’s go, Liverpool, Championship game. Let’s go Reds, Mo Salah.” The 25-year-old then proceeds to hit the ball with his right foot past the goalkeeper, who in fairness didn’t appear to make much of an effort to save the strike.

One wrote: “F***** love seeing Americans kick footballs man.”

Another said: “Must have missed leg day with that effort, my 3 year old can kick the ball harder then that.”

A third wrote: “Diana Ross kicks a ball better than you do.”

Someone else quipped: “Look at his legs… like a 2 year old who just learned how to walk.”

Paul’s rallying video for the Reds did not help them much as they lost to Los Blancos in Paris. Vinicius Junior’s goal on 59 minutes was enough to send Jurgen Klopp’s men home with nothing.

But the German boss made some spicy comments after the game, mostly aimed at the fact Thibaut Courtois, who was stunning on the night, picking up the Man of the Match gong.

"They scored a goal, we didn't,” he explained after the game. “That's the easiest explanation in the world of football. Harsh, but we respect it of course. When the goalkeeper is man of the match something is wrong. Something is going wrong for the other team.

"I think Madrid had one shot on target and it was a goal. But I understand 100% and respect it 100% that the reason for playing football and having competitions is to win the game. Whatever you do, within the rules, is completely fine. We played a good game, but when you lose 1-0 you have to admit it wasn't good enough."
