Wimbledon fan Kyrgios said had 700 drinks is Polish lawyer who "only had two"
Offbeat news from the world of sport
A tennis fan Nick Kyrgios demanded be booted out of Centre Court during Sunday's Wimbledon final after accusing her of having "700 drinks" is Polish lawyer Ania Palus, who insists she wasn't even drunk.
Kyrgios went down swinging as the ruthless Novak Djokovic swept past him in four sets to claim his seventh All England Club title, but for most of the contest everyone's attention was on the hot-headed Australian, particularly after an outburst that saw 32-year-old Ania temporarily ejected.
"She's drunk out of her mind," Kyrgios fumed at the umpire during a heated third set. "She's distracting me when I'm serving … why is she still here?"

When asked to identify the culprit, the 27-year-old replied: "It's the one in the dress, the one who looks like she's had 700 drinks, bro," but speaking to The Sun, Ania claims that all she had was one Pimm's and a glass of rosé.
"He always says the crowd is against him and I wanted to show we were for him, I wanted to encourage him," she said. "I only had one Pimm's and one rosé. It's the temperature for me, I had no hat. I'm really sorry."

She also told The Telegraph: "I wanted to give him support. Maybe I took it too far. But I only had good intentions."
After being temporarily removed from the court, Ania was handed a bottle of water and eventually allowed to re-take her seat and watch the rest of the final.
The fracas was just one of a series of colourful outbursts from Kyrgios during the match. Throughout the final two sets, both of which were won by Djokovic, whenever Kyrgios lost a point he would glare up at his family in the box and shout obscenities – particularly during service games.
Play was also briefly halted when a protester began shouting 'Where is Peng Shuai?' before being removed by security in what was described as the 'quickest Wimbledon ejection ever'.
