Aston Villa will be looking to bounce back from their opening day defeat against Watford when they welcome Newcastle on Saturday.
Dean Smith’s side are still adjusting to life without star Jack Grealish, who joined Manchester City for a Premier League record £100million in early August.
Villa will be boosted by the arrival of Northampton Town midfielder Caleb Chukwuemeka, who signed on Monday in a move worth £30million.
Dean Smith will be hoping to bring in further additions before the transfer window door slams shut in two weeks time.
And there’s plenty more transfer gossip coming out of Aston Villa with Daily Star Sport here to round-up the best bits…
Cantwell move still alive
Villa reportedly remain interested in Norwich midfielder Todd Cantwell, meaning a move could still happen this summer.
According to The Express, Villa were expected to move for Cantwell when Jack Grealish departed for Manchester City but nothing has materialised so far.
The 22-year-old started in the 3-0 defeat against Liverpool in the season opener at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Cantwell has been with Norwich throughout his entire professional career and has made 103 appearances for the Canaries, scoring 14 times.

One player Villa look set to miss out on this summer is Metz wonderkid Pape Matar Sarr.
Villa have been linked with the 18-year-old – who made 22 appearances for the Ligue 1 side last season, throughout the transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, Metz president Bernard Serin was due to fly to Stansted airport on Monday for talks with three Premier League clubs, but Villa were not one of them.
Instead, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all now in talks to sign the Senegalese youngster.
Hourihane expected to depart
Republic of Ireland international Conor Hourihane is set to be on his way out of Villa Park this summer, according to Birmingham Live.
Hourihane was a regular starter for Villa in the Championship but has lost his place in the first-team in recent seasons.
The 30-year-old spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan at Championship club Swansea, where he made 19 appearances, scoring four goals.
The midfielder, who reportedly earns £30,000-a-week was absent from the squad during Saturday’s season opener at Watford.
