Tyler Roberts felt Leeds were undone by a ‘freak accident’ in Friday night’s 1-0 loss at Premier League rivals Wolves.

The home side grabbed their fortunate winner after 64 minutes at Molineux.

Traore shrugged off Luke Ayling on the left and burst towards goal with his rising 25-yard drive smacking the underside of the bar before hitting goalkeeper Illan Meslier and rolling in.

The game was decided by a strike by Adama Traore that cruelly went in off Illan Meslier’s back

Afterwards Roberts said: ‘It was a good run from him but then it was just a piece of luck that has obviously come off the bar and hit our keeper which is kind of a freak accident but I felt we bounced back well and we pushed to the very end.

‘The goal that they scored was unfortunate so we will be in there, we will take the positives and rest up and go again on Tuesday.’

Wolves recorded back-to-back victories for just the second time this season to go above Leeds into 11th place in the Premier League.

‘We follow the plan and we keep working and pushing.

‘We take our chances, and we have to keep going like this. We did great to win 1-0 against Leeds. It’s a great performance.’
