Tottenham have reportedly moved on to their next target in the summer transfer window with the hope of sealing a move for just £8.5million. Spurs have already welcomed three new signings with Bryan Gil, Pierliugi Gollini and Cristian Romero all joining.
The 23-year-old centre-back made his Premier League debut last week, coming off the bench in the impressive 1-0 win over defending champions Manchester City.
And all three summer signings started their first competitive match in the midweek Europa Conference League first leg against Pacos de Ferreira.
It wasn’t the result Tottenham were looking for, falling to a surprise 1-0 defeat.
But Nuno Espirito Santo would have at least been pleased to see all his summer signings play valuable minutes to get up to speed.

It was also a chance for Nuno to try playing three at the back – a formation he stuck with during his time at Wolves.
Against City, Nuno played just two centre-backs before changing shape towards the end of the match to try and hold on to Tottenham’s lead.
The Portuguese coach appears content with wanting to try that same formula moving forward at Tottenham.
Romero joins Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon as the recognised central defenders.

Japhet Tanganga has also shown capabilities to play in the heart of defence, but he impressed in a full-back role against City.
For Nuno to feel confident about going with three at the back, it appears as though he wants to bolster his options in defence.
And Spanish daily newspaper Ideal claim Spurs are ‘probing’ to try and sign Granada defender Domingos Duarte.
It is reported that Duarte’s release clause is set at £26m, but Tottenham’s opening offer would be just £8.5m.
Granada are unable to match the big clubs all over Europe when it comes to paying high wages.
Their record transfer fee is the £6.3m they paid to sign Luis Suarez from Watford last summer.
But they’ve often spent within their means over the years and it appears as though Tottenham are hoping to test Granada’s resolve.
Granada appeared at one stage set to qualify for the Europa League last season before a poor run of form at the end of the season ended their hopes.
