UFC star Paddy Pimblett has doubled down in his belief Jake Paul has been involved in fixed fights as the YouTuber continues to build a fledgling boxing career.

Paul, 25, improved his professional boxing record to 6-0 after beating UFC legend Anderson Silva via unanimous decision in October. The Ohio native has already defeated UFC alumni in Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren, scoring a knockout victory over both retired mixed martial artists.

His sixth-round stoppage of Woodley in their rematch drew some suspicion, with certain fans convinced Woodley gave his opponent a signal to deliver the knockout punch. Pimblett doesn't agree with that verdict, though he felt there were grounds to scrutinise his latest win over Silva.

“I don’t think the Tyron Woodley knockout was fixed, because when you get knocked out like that and you land face first, if you’re not unconscious you’re going [puts arms out]," Pimblett told Pub Talk after being asked whether he felt Paul's fights were fixed. "You can’t help it, it's a human reaction.

“But I seen an angle of a punch he hit Anderson Silva with the other day when he sat down, and he [Paul] didn’t even hit him.” The October bout was Silva's fifth in pro boxing, having previously beaten both Julio Chavez Jr. and fellow UFC alum Tito Ortiz in 2021.

Paul has since responded to Pimblett's accusation by offering to fly him out to his residence in Puerto Rico for three rounds of sparring. The former Disney actor wagered $1million (£815,000) if 'The Baddy' wins, while Pimblett must join the United Fighters Association (UFA)—the union Paul is attempting to promote—if 'The Problem Child' triumphs.

Only too happy to accept, Pimblett told TMZ Sports he'll shift his attention to Paul as soon as he's fought Jared Gordon at UFC 282 on December 3. The Merseysider has finished all three of his UFC bouts to date (one KO, two submissions), but 'Flash' will be the most difficult test of his lightweight journey to date.

Gordon, 34, has overcome heroin addiction and homelessness to put himself in the conversation for a shot at the UFC's lightweight title. The New Yorker was once even declared "legally dead for two minutes" following one of the three overdoses he's finished, but Pimblett predicts another quick finish.

"He's had a lot of struggles himself with his mental health, his depression and addiction," Pimblett told Pub Talk hosts Ray Parlour and Alan Brazil. "So I think we're going to raise a lot of awareness for men to speak up more, which is nice. But I actually feel bad, because I think I'm gonna knock him out in the first round."
