Spurs fans livid after Hojbjerg ‘injures’ Perisic during Nations League match
Tottenham Hotspur fans were left fuming at Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after he appeared to injure team-mate Ivan Perisic in the Nations League.
The two Spurs stars squared off against each other for Denmark and Croatia on Thursday evening. And with the game heading into the last 20 minutes, Hojbjerg left Perisic sprawled out on the floor following a 50/50 challenge.
The Croatian was forced to be hauled off for Mislav Orsic – Dinamo Zagreb's star who tormented Chelsea – as a result of the challenge. And Tottenham fans have made their feelings clear towards the Danish midfielder on social media after the clash.

One fan tweeted: "Perisic getting injured by Hojbjerg says a lot about Tottenham!"
"Hojbjerg injuring Perisic a week before the NLD is so on brand for us," a second added. While a third joked: "Hojbjerg injuring his club teammate… He's defo going Valhalla!"
However, a fourth, after seeing the tackle, took the side of the Dane: "If Perisic is injured after that 'tackle' by Hojbjerg then he's made of biscuits. Was nothing in it."

It was Hojbjerg's international team-mate Christian Eriksen that made headlines after the game thanks to his wonder strike that fired the Scandinavian side level on the evening.
However, the strike was ultimately futile, as just one minute later Croatia restored their lead through Lovro Majer.
