Napoli president fires warning to Man Utd and Chelsea over Victor Osimhen move

Manchester United and Chelsea have been told that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is not for sale at any price this summer.

The Nigerian has hit 16 goals in 17 appearances so far this season, giving Napoli a 13-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.

With the club on course for their first league title since 1990, Europe’s elite are looking at Napoli’s best players and Osimhen is the pick of the bunch.

The forward joined the club from Lille in 2020 for a fee of £62.5m and his stock has risen significantly since.

United boss Erik ten Hag is keen to sign a superstar forward this summer, having had to rely on the injury-prone Anthony Martial this term.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are similarly keen to sign a top centre forward with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang set to leave the club and Kai Havertz deemed too goal-shy to occupy the position.

But Napoli President Aurelio de Laurentiis says the club are not interested in selling Osimhen and he’s not for sale at any price.

‘I can tell you that Osimhen is not for sale,’ De Laurentiis said.

‘Our players are in demand, but I don’t have to sell anyone.

‘We don’t have any debt.’

Napoli’s stance may see United move for Harry Kane instead.

The England skipper has 18 months to run on his Tottenham deal and if he intimates he will not sign an extension then this could be Spurs’ final chance to get top money for the 30-year-old.
