Manchester City have been chasing Harry Kane all summer, with the Tottenham striker reportedly stating that he was keen to leave the club. However, with Daniel Levy asserting that he will not sell his star man, City may need some help from elsewhere to help secure the England international’s signature.
That’s where Kyle Walker, John Stones, and Raheem Sterling come in.
As Kane’s England teammates, the City trio will have a part to play in getting Kane to help push a deal over the line.
England’s run to Euro 2020 this summer was built on the camaraderie in the squad, with numerous videos emerging of the players putting club rivalries aside and socialising between games.
The good relationship between the players could help City, with the likes of Sterling and Walker potentially contacting Kane, urging him to make the switch to Manchester.
Former England striker Darren Bent believes that the good atmosphere in the squad is the reason why the Three Lions did so well at the European Championships.

“Even though they all play for top clubs that have been competing for the biggest trophies in the world, it just feels completely different to when I was in the squad,” Bent told talkSPORT.
“They’ve got the pool with the inflatables and water bombs, they’ve got the golf simulator and the darts matches.
“But Gareth Southgate had got the right mix and the right blend, and that’s why the players are absolutely thriving.”
Teammates encouraging their compatriots to move clubs isn’t uncommon, with Antonio Rudiger claiming that he advised both Kai Havertz and Timo Werner to make a move to Chelsea.

All three players were involved in Germany’s Euro 2020 campaign before they were eliminated at the hands of England.
“I helped them [Werner and Havertz] and advised them to come to Chelsea,” said Rudiger, in an interview with German journalist Christian Falk.
That’s why I’m always by their side. On the pitch, they can only help themselves.”
Marcus Rashford is also likely to have played a part in Jadon Sancho’s move to Manchester United.

The England international is close to completing his £72.9m transfer to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund.
Both players, who were also in England’s Euro 2020, were seen jetting off on holiday together.
The video shows the pair singing together on a plane, as they take a break before the Premier League season begins.
The pair clearly have a good off-field relationship, so it would be no surprise if Rashford had a role to play in Sancho’s move to Old Trafford.
