Man Utd troll Man City with Marcus Rashford ‘offside’ goal clip set to MC Hammer

Manchester United have continued to rub salt into Manchester City's open wound as they took a cheap shot over TikTok.

The Red Devils' TikTok account uploaded a video of Marcus Rashford's role in Bruno Fernandes' controversial equaliser with MC Hammer's hit song 'U Can’t Touch This' on Monday. Rashford had been in an offside position when the ball was fed through to the Englishman.

Rashford closely followed the ball across the pitch, but he didn't touch it, before shifting out of the way to allow Fernandes to score. City players were fuming, as they believed Rashford had impacted play – meaning the goal should have been chalked off.

Football fans have branded the decision as one of the worst of all time, with one supporter saying: "Possibly the worst decision you'll ever see on a football pitch!"

"Rashford stops Akanji/Ederson getting to the ball irrespective of whether he touches the ball or not. He's interfering with play. Horrible officiating," a second added. And a third said: "I really don't understand how you can watch this and think it should be a goal?"

While a fourth added: "Anyone justifying this decision obviously on a wind up…there’s no way anyone with an ounce of understanding of the game thinks this is onside, awful call."

Fernandes' goal swung the tide in the clash, and minutes later Rashford turned the ball home to send the Red Devils 2-1 ahead.

City – who were still reeling from the Rashford decision – were unable to bounce back from the second, and now find themselves eight points behind league leaders Arsenal.
