Man Utd ‘make approach’ for Cristiano Ronaldo’s new Al-Nassr team-mate Aboubakar
Manchester United could inadvertently help Cristiano Ronaldo make his debut for Al Nassr as they explore a deal for Vincent Aboubakar.
Aboubakar is currently team-mates with Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia – but the Cameroonian will be allowed to leave to make room for Ronaldo. And after losing Ronaldo, and missing out on Cody Gakpo, a loan deal makes sense for all parties.
According to Saudi Arabian outlet OKAZ, United are exploring a deal for the attacker, who netted at the World Cup against Brazil in Qatar. The Red Devils have already confirmed they will only be looking for loan deal in January – thanks to their summer spending spree.

Meanwhile, Al Nassr are looking to offload a foreign player so they can meet the Saudi Pro League foreign player quote.
The Saudi side told AFP: "Al Nassr has not registered him yet because there is no vacancy for a foreign player. A foreign player must leave to register Ronaldo, either by selling or by terminating the contract by mutual consent."
Aboubakar appears to be the front-runner to leave – while Arsenal flop David Ospina and Bundesliga cult hero Luiz Gustavo could also depart for Ronaldo.

Al Nassr could also axe Jaloliddin Masharipov to make room for Ronaldo – with the winger from Uzbekistan only making one league appearance for the Saudi side this season.
Masharipov was loaned out last January – to UAE side Shabab Al-Ahli – and a similar move could be on the cards, throwing a spanner in the works for the Red Devils' Aboubakar heist.
