Manchester United superfan Katrina Maria has voiced her outrage towards Cristiano Ronaldo’s now 'called-off' move to Manchester City.
Ronaldo was revealed on Thursday to have agreed personal terms with Man City, having voiced his desire to leave Juventus before the end of the transfer window.
Now journalist Simon Stone claims the Premier League champions will not be signing the Portugal captain, leaving the Red Devils in pole position to retain his services.
And model Katrina, dubbed Man United’s ‘sexiest fan’, vented her anger at the possibility that the Old Trafford legend could have been on his way to joining bitter rivals City.
Katrina Maria told Daily Star Sport: "I hope it's not real. If he joins City I think it is a total disgrace. A lot of United fans, including myself, are going to be very disappointed in him."
Ronaldo spent six seasons with Man United from 2003 to 2009, winning a Champions League medal and the Ballon d’Or prize while becoming the best in the world.
With Carlos Tevez having previously crossed the divide and received abuse from the United faithful, Ronaldo would have been all too aware of the damage to his legacy if he had chosen the Etihad side.
This comes after Katrinia uploaded two snaps of her wearing a Ronaldo United shirt in June where she gained thousands of likes in a matter of hours.
She also said previously: “It would be legendary if Ronaldo returned back home one day.”
And there is hope for the social media fan with United now being tipped as favourites to sign the Juventus star.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims Man United representatives have been in contact with Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes since Thursday and are ‘seriously interested’ in securing his services.
Meanwhile, Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made his admiration for the forward clear while refusing to rule out a bid.
He said: “Cristiano is a legend of this club, the greatest player of all time if you ask me.
“I was fortunate enough to play with him. I coached him when I got my job. Let’s see what happens.”
