Man City v Borussia Dortmund live stream: How to watch Champions League fixture online and on TV tonight

Haaland will face his father’s former club tonight

Manchester City begin their bid to reach the Champions League semi-finals for the first time under Pep Guardiola tonight.

They face a Borussia Dortmund side who are bereft of confidence having just been beaten by Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on the weekend.

With that being said, the German side’s best chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League would now appear to be to win the competition, so there will be no shortage of motivation for this one.

It is also a chance for 20-year-old sensation Erling Haaland to announce himself in England as he comes up against a club he has perennially been linked with a move to.

His father Alf-Inge spent three years in Manchester playing for City between 2000 and 2003, so it really would be a lovely sub-plot if Erling scored in this one.

Man City have not advanced to the last four of the Champions League since 2016 when they were beaten by eventual winners Real Madrid.

That was also the last time Guardiola reached the semis – with Bayern Munich – so can both Pep and City put a five-year wait to bed tonight?
