Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe looks destined to seal his departure from Paris this summer – but the French superstar has made it clear that he won’t be heading to London after publicly shunning a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Mbappe, who has already established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the world, is in the final six months of his deal at the Parc des Princes.

PSG are desperate to tie the 23-year-old down to a new long-term deal. But the ex-Monaco man, who has already notched nine goals in 17 Ligue 1 games this term, has resisted those attempts.

Real Madrid have been persistently linked with Mbappe and are the red-hot favourites to snap up the forward next summer when he is due to become a free agent.

Recently, Spiderman actor Tom Holland ambitiously attempted to hijack Real’s patient pursuit of Mbappe by trying to persuade the PSG star to consider a move to his boyhood club, Tottenham.

But Mbappe has emphatically ruled out joining Spurs – although he did talk up their chances of success under new boss, Antonio Conte.

“I don’t think I will play for Tottenham in my life,” Mbappe told CNN when quizzed on Holland’s playful attempt to lure him to London.

“[Holland] asked me about it, but no, no. It’s a great club… And I’m sure they will make something good this season with [Antonio] Conte. He’s a great manager.”

Mbappe then went one further by shooting down any prospect of him leaving PSG in the January transfer window.

It’s broadly anticipated that Mbappe will see out his contract in Paris this year before negotiating a mega-money contract next summer when he becomes a free agent.

But there had been talk recently that Real could look to accelerate that move by making a cut-price swoop in the New Year.

January represents PSG’s final opportunity to cash in on their striking prodigy – with the French giants now facing up to the very real possibility of losing Mbappe for free in just six months’ time.

Mbappe, however, reaffirmed his commitment to PSG for the remainder of the campaign.

“I think it’s not for me to talk about at the moment,” he added. “We are coming into the most important part of the season and we are playing Real Madrid.

“So the only thing I have on my mind is beating Real Madrid in February and March. I’m ready to give everything for PSG.

“I’m really happy [with PSG], I will finish the season [there], 100 per cent. I will give everything I have to win the Champions League, the league, the cup – because the players and the fans deserve it and I think I deserve to win something great with PSG.”
