- Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips has arrived at Manchester City for his medical
- The 26-year-old even turned up wearing a City jacket before the deal is done
- The two clubs agreed a £45m fee last week but Phillips has been away on holiday
Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips has arrived in Manchester for his medical ahead of his hugely anticipated £45million move to Premier League champions Man City.
The 26-year-old even turned up wearing a City jacket, despite the deal not being official until he completes his medical.
The two clubs agreed a fee for Phillips at the end of last week, but the midfielder has been away on holiday.

The England international has now returned from his break and is set to undergo his medical in order to complete his big-money transfer.
Phillips is a boyhood Leeds fan who has been at the club since the age of 14 and all 233 of his professional club appearances have been for the Whites.
He had indicated last season that he would be willing to stay at Elland Road beyond the end of his current contract that expires in 2024, but talks over a new deal have not been forthcoming.

Aston Villa and Newcastle United registered their interest in signing the 26-year-old, while Leeds rejected a £55million offer from West Ham in January.
All three remained keen but Phillips only wanted to leave the Whites for what he viewed as a significant step up.
He will become Manchester City’s second signing of the summer after the £51million arrival of Erling Haaland, while they continue to pursue a move for Brighton left back Marc Cucurella.
The England international Phillips is excited at the prospect of working with Pep Guardiola
The challenge of a move to the Premier League champions and the prospect of Champions League football was appealing though he recognises he faces a battle to hold down a regular first team place.
Phillips is excited at the prospect of working with Pep Guardiola, who has heard positive feedback from his friend Marcelo Bielsa, the former Leeds coach, who did so much to develop Phillips into a player of international repute.
Boss Guardiola also pin-pointed Phillips as an ideal replacement to long-serving Fernandinho who opted to leave upon the expiration of his contract at City.
Despite the Spaniard’s interest in Phillips, he will face competition from Rodri to fill the defensive midfield role in Guardiola’s system.
