‘You know me. I’m not going to say anything,’ he told Sky Sports

‘No need for breaks or recharged batteries. I’m always in football.’

Juventus are the bookmakers’ favourites to be Mourinho’s next club with the Portugal national team and his old club Porto also among the other frontrunners.

Mourinho returned to English football eight years ago but he has been sacked by Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham with his next move within the game unclear.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes the sacked Spurs boss is unlikely to get another job in the Premier League.

He said on Sky Sports: ‘Yes it was a surprise, I did not think he would be there next season. We didn’t say he would go at the end of the season, but we intimated there was no light at end of the tunnel.

‘Is winning the Carabao Cup enough for Spurs fans? His record is not as good now in finals, but now they have less chance of winning the final.

‘Pep (Guardiola, Manchester City manager) will think that too, unless (Spurs owner Daniel) Levy felt the atmosphere was so bad or winning the cup would mean sacking him afterwards would be harder.

‘The ship has sailed for him in the Premier League. Would he go to a mid-table side? No. Maybe he could manage internationally or go back to Serie A, he can maybe get away with his style more over there.’

Mourinho has previously stated his desire to one day manage the Portuguese national team
