Harry Kane’s transfer decision over a possible move to Manchester United should have been made clearer after England’s win over Poland.

The Three Lions left it late to seal a 2-1 win over their Group I opponents, and are in a commanding position to reach the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Tottenham striker Kane opened the scoring just inside the 20 minute mark, converting the penalty which had been won by Raheem Sterling.

But an error from John Stones allowed Jakub Moder to level with a relatively simple finish to level the score, before Harry Maguire stole all three points with a thundering header in the final few minutes.

England captain Kane once again gave a composed performance at the top of the England attack, though he had little service in the second half.

In the early stages of the game, he began to link up nicely with not only Chelsea’s Mason Mount, but Manchester City duo Phil Foden and Sterling.

The Sky Blues pair were deployed as wingers in Gareth Southgate’s new, preferred 4-3-3 system.

Foden and Sterling provided plenty of deft touches and smart flicks, and looked to be a real threat at times with Kane.

Kane has been linked with a move to Man United in the past as he considers the next step in his career.

But the Red Devils aren’t the only side looking for a new world class striker, with Manchester City also needing a replacement for Sergio Aguero.

And based on Kane’s link-up play with Foden and Sterling, he could be a real force under Pep Guardiola, especially with Kevin de Bruyne laying it on a plate for him.

United’s counter-attacking style may not suit Kane’s style either, with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford often most dangerous when he’s set put in behind from deep.

The two are both expected to cost at least £100m, but Kane's value will also be inflated due to meeting registration requirements around players trained in England.
