Harry Kane will go public with his desire to leave Tottenham if chairman Daniel Levy rejects the striker’s latest request to leave, according to reports.

The England captain has said that he will have an “honest” conversation about his future with the Spurs chief, which is likely to involve him telling Levy that he wants to move on in pursuit of silverware.

Kane has not won a major trophy during his seven years in the Tottenham first team. He has come close, losing two league Cup finals and the 2019 Champions League final.

Spurs’ last piece of silverware was the 2008 League Cup, won thanks to a 2-1 win over Chelsea at Wembley.

The 27-year-old has conceded that he watches players involved in the biggest games with envy.

News broke earlier this week that Kane plans to leave Tottenham this summer after having advances from Manchester City knocked back last year.

It is widely understood that Kane now believes he has a gentleman’s agreement to depart when the transfer window reopens from June 9.

He also wants his future resolved before England’s Euro 2020 campaign begins against Croatia on June 13.

However, Levy does not want to sell to a Premier League rival and is unwilling to sell for anything less than £150million. Kane’s £200,000 per week wage may also be a stumbling block for most interested parties.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are four of very few clubs would could afford such figures this year.

In an interview with Gary Neville on Sky Sports’ Overlap, Kane revealed that he would be speaking to Levy about his future soon.

“I think there is definitely a conversation to be had. It’s a moment where I have to reflect and have a conversation with the chairman,” Kane told the former England and Man Utd defender, who was also on the coaching staff when the forward played for the Three Lions at Euro 2016.

“I hope we have a good enough relationship. After 16 years, I hope that we can have an honest conversation.

“I hope we have a good enough relationship. I’ve given the club… well, I’ve been there [for] 16 years of my life. So, I hope that we can have a good, honest conversation and see where we are at in that aspect.”

But if that conversation does not go well for Kane, the Mirror claim that he will go public with his desire to leave. They say that he will issue a statement declaring his love for Spurs and their supporters, but addressing his desire to leave to win trophies.

Kane did a lap of appreciation following Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa on Wednesday. The report says that he saw it as an opportunity to say goodbye to supporters because he felt it was his last match at White Hart Lane.

“I’m not afraid to say that I want to be the best,” Kane added to Neville in the interview.

“I’m not afraid to say I want to try get on the level that Ronaldo and Messi got to. You know, that’s my ultimate goal.

“That’s my aim, to be winning trophies season in, season out. Scoring 50, 60, 70 goals season in, season out. That’s the standard I want to set myself.”
