FA CUP QUARTER-FINAL DRAW

The draw for the FA Cup quarter-finals will take place after this game. It’s expected to take place aroun 7:45pm but will be pushed back if this match goes to extra-time which looks likely after that first half.

Here are the teams still in the comp:

WOLVES 0 – 0 SOUTHAMPTON

45+3 mins: Half time. No goals, all square. There’s been a lack of creativity in the final third for both teams. Southampton have made the better chances and it feels like only a matter of time before they take one. We’ll find out after the break.

WOLVES 0 – 0 SOUTHAMPTON

45 mins: Three minutes of added time to play at the end of the first half.

WOLVES 0 – 0 SOUTHAMPTON

42 mins: Bertrand carries the ball forward on the left wing. He whips a cross into the box for Ings but the ball goes over his head. At the back post Jonny and Redmond come together with the defender going to ground. The ball drops for Redmond who turns the ball towards goal and his the effort stopped by Ruddy.

WOLVES 0 – 0 SOUTHAMPTON

39 mins: Moutinho delivers a Wolves free kick into the area. Ward-Prowse wins the first ball and heads it out to Djenepo who puts his foot through the ball to boot it down the other end of the pitch.

WOLVES 0 – 0 SOUTHAMPTON

36 mins: Ward-Prowse catches Fabio Silva with a late challenge and gives away a free kick in the middle of the park. There’s been a number of low-level fouls which has created a stop-start nature to the game after that intense start from Southampton.

WOLVES 0 – 0 SOUTHAMPTON

33 mins: Gibbs-White takes the ball on the turn in midfield and he slots a nice ball into the left side of the box for Silva. He collects the ball but is forced out wide so passes it back to Vitinha. He squares it towards Joao Moutinho but Ings is tracking back and makes the interception.

WOLVES 0 – 0 SOUTHAMPTON

30 mins: Dendoncker gives the ball to Hoever on the right wing. He knocks the ball into the right side of the box for Morgan Gibbs-White. He gets to the ball first before Mohammed Salisu clips his leg and he goes down. Wolves want a penalty but Jon Moss plays on and there isn’t enough evidence for VAr to overturn.

WOLVES 0 – 0 SOUTHAMPTON

24 mins: Vitinha took a hit from Djenepo in the follow through after his attempt on goal. The Wolves man went down and is being checked over. There’s a pause in the game but he looks like he’ll be okay.
