Ebanie Bridges backs Jesse Marsch as Leeds move out of the relegation zone
Boxing beauty Ebanie Bridges has given her full backing to underfire Leeds manager Jesse Marsch.
The Blonde Bomber, 35, posted a story on her Instagram of a picture of herself and the Whites boss., writing in the caption: “I think he’s doing alright tbf. I like his attitude and drive.”
Bridges is a huge Leeds fan and often posts about the club to her 503k followers. She even won her IBF female bantamweight title at the city’s First Direct Arena in March, after defeating Maria Cecilia Roman by unanimous decision. And after the victory, she celebrated with Leeds trio Luke Ayling, Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper.
And in April, she posted the same picture of her and Marsch, saying that the American manager was a boxing fan. “Great to meet and have a chat to Leeds’ new head coach Jesse March,” said Bridges via her Twitter account. “He’s a big boxing fan and I loved hearing about some of his motivation tactics!
“Seems to be working, we’ve been doing alright [in the] last few weeks. Let’s hope this man can keep the ball rolling.”

But things have gone from bad to worst for the Whites and they currently look favourites to follow Norwich City and Watford into the Championship.
Marsch was appointed in February but results have not picked up since his arrival, with the club slummed in the 17th spot of the Premier League table. The side managed to earn a point against in-form Brighton at Elland Road on Monday after Pascal Struijk’s late equaliser cancelled out Danny Welbeck’s goal on 21 minutes.
Marsch said that he felt that the three points has now shifted the momentum in Leeds’ favour over fellow strugglers Burnley. The Yorkshire side leapfrogged the Clarets out of the drop zone, but Mike Jackson’s men still have a game in hand after losing at Tottenham earlier on Sunday.
“We’re alive right now, regardless of the last day,” Marsch said. “We just have to fight for any point. Any point gets us a little bit closer and shifts a little bit of the momentum.
“We know Burnley have a match in hand, we know Everton have two in hand with three left. We need some help and then we need to be ready next weekend to do whatever it takes.”
