Chelsea offered £40 million shirt sponsorship deal by adult subscription website
Chelsea have been offered a lucrative package by My.Club to feature the adult subscription website as the team’s shirt sponsor in the 2023/24 season. Chelsea are still without a shirt sponsor, yet their Premier League season begins against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Chelsea debuted their new kit for the upcoming season earlier this year without a sponsor on the front, which is surprising given the deals are one of the best ways a club can generate revenue. The Blues’ previous deal with telecommunications company Three saw them net £40 million each year, but they decided to scrap the deal in search of a more lucrative sponsor.
Chelsea had hoped to seal a deal with streaming service Paramount+ only for the Premier League to block the move. The league believed Chelsea actively wearing one of NBC’s competitors would cause problems as the American broadcaster are the official Premier League rights holder in the USA.
Chelsea then turned to gambling firm Stake, but with such deals set to be banned from 2026, the London giants pulled. The club also rejected an offer from Bayern Munich’s stadium sponsor Allianz, and currently has no option ahead of the new campaign.
As a result, the club has lowered its demands to £25m and is willing to include the Women’s team in the package. My.Club, an adult premium subscription platform for content creators, has now cheekily entered the race by claiming they have offered Chelsea up to £40m to become the official kit sponsor for the 2021 UEFA Champions League winners. My.Club boss Mike Ford has even suggested the money could help fund a move for Kylian Mbappe.
“We here at My.Club want to sponsor Chelsea as they look to improve on last season’s disappointment,” said Ford. “We want to have the My.Club logo emblazoned on the front of Chelsea’s jerseys before the club kicks off its 2023 season against Liverpool.
“This contribution would work for both parties. For Blues, it will help to make perfect signings like Kylian. For us, it will ensure Blues fans have only two clubs to call ‘mine.’ It would be great having Mbappe, Mudryk and other Chelsea players sharing their training exclusives and hosting AMAs on My.Club, a platform for all creators.

This is the second time My.Club has ambitiously attempted to become the kit sponsor for a major European soccer team. Earlier this year, My.Club submitted a lucrative offer to be the kit sponsor for Inter Milan ahead of the Champions League Final against Manchester City, but the offer was not accepted.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea will accept the offer, and whether the top flight will even allow My.Club as a sponsor. But that hasn’t stopped the company from throwing their hat in the ring.
