Chelsea fans ’embarrassed’ over move for Michail Antonio as a cheaper solution
Chelsea fans have slammed rumours that the club has explored the option of signing Michail Antonio as a cheap solution to their striker woes.
The West London side have been linked with the Jamaica international but fans weren't happy when the rumours did the round that the Blues had enquired about a low-cost loan deal, as per The Guardian. Although the enquiry reportedly didn't go very far, West Ham are happy to offload the 32-year-old on a permanent deal.
When the news hit Chelsea fans Twittersphere, they were quick to fume. One tweeted: "You see good players in form but choose to go for Antonio who can’t even find his feet anymore. Deadwood to add to the bunch of deadwood we already have."

Since the link to the Irons' forward, Chelsea have gone on to sign Ukrainian talent Mykhaylo Mudryk for a reported £89m.
