Chelsea enter Ilaix Moriba race, Kounde double boost and Loftus-Cheek update
Chelsea are expected to be busy over the next few weeks as Thomas Tuchel finalises his squad for the new Premier League season.
The Blues have been quiet in the summer transfer window, with Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli their only arrival of note so far.
Bettinelli is not expected to challenge for a spot in the first-team this season, so Chelsea fans could be forgiven for being a little bit underwhelmed by the club's lack of business.
However, that might be about to change very soon indeed. Daily Star Sport has an update on all the latest transfer news from west London.
Moriba race
Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign 18-year-old Barcelona wonderkid Ilaix Moriba.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Blues are keeping tabs on the midfielder's situation amid a contract stand-off at the Nou Camp.
Moriba has reportedly been offered a 'final' deal by the Catalan giants, to which he is yet to respond.
The report claims that Barcelona are getting frustrated with the length of negotiations and that a £6m offer is being prepared for the star by an unnamed side.
Kounde double boost
Are you disappointed with Chelsea's transfer business so far? Let us know in the comments section.
Chelsea have been handed a double boost in their pursuit of Sevilla centre-half Jules Kounde.
Kounde, 22, has a £68million release clause in his contract that the La Liga side are unwilling to budge on.
Sky Sports report that will not be a problem for Chelsea, who are willing to pursue a deal regardless.
In a further boost, it appears Sevilla already looking at replacements for Kounde and are weighing up a move for Jerome Boateng, indicating a deal might not be far away.
Loftus-Cheek update
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been linked with a loan move to the Bundesliga in recent days – and Tuchel isn't ruling anything out.
"It's too early to judge Ruben," said Tuchel after Chelsea beat Arsenal on Sunday.
"He has everything in his hands. He can decide his own future."
For his part, Loftus-Cheek has expressed a desire to remain at Stamford Bridge this season, but all options remain open to the 26-year-old with one month of the transfer window remaining.
