Brutal goalkeeper ‘teaches heartbroken kid life lesson’ – and shows zero remorse

A Hungarian goalkeeper left fans booing after he brutally denied a seven-year-old boy from scoring against him before a second tier match.

Youngster Enok Varga was allowed onto the pitch before MTK Budapest’s clash with Diosgyori VTK to score a goal on his birthday. He was given the chance to run with the ball towards the opposition goal unopposed.

But to the shock of everyone inside the stadium, goalkeeper Zsombor Senko saved both of his attempts on goal.

Footage showed the excited boy dribbling the ball and firing his shot goalward, before being denied. He then retrieved the ball before having another attempt which was also denied by Senko.

Supporters in attendance were heard booing and staring at the goalkeeper disapprovingly while Enok was carried away in disappointment. The clip has since gone viral on social media, with fans slamming the shot-stopper’s brutal antics.

One Twitter user wrote: “What a way to spoil the kid's birthday present. That GK is so great against kids, not so much against real players.”

Another tweeted: “Considering the keeper conceded 4 that day, I think the life lesson may have been dished out a different way round,” and a third responded: "What an absolute p****."

But others disagreed, tweeting: “Good for character development,” and “Nothing comes easy in this world. A lesson he will never forget.”

Senko has since apologised for his strange actions and offered to invite Enok to Diosgyori’s next game against MTK. "We can't wait to welcome him, his parents and his team-mates!” the bizarre goalkeeper said.

"In the meantime, I wish him never to give up on his dreams and to fight for every ball as he did on Monday evening!"
