Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in recent weeks with regards to their pursuit of Jadon Sancho as Borussia Dortmund look to free up cash. However, the Red Devils could also land some more of the Bundesliga side’s talent, according to reports in Germany.

Borussia Dortmund are understood to have an ‘eight-man sell list’ in order to raise funds, which could present plenty of transfer opportunities for Manchester United.

The Red Devils have continued to be linked with England winger Jadon Sancho, who is a key man for Dortmund.

The Bundesliga side rejected multiple bids from United last summer for Sancho, but are now understood to be open to selling the 20-year-old.

That appears to be for two reasons – firstly his serious drop off in form, and secondly in order to raise funds to help cope with the financial hit of the pandemic.

Dortmund’s asking price is believed to be around £88m, significantly lower than their price tag last summer.

But Sancho might not be the only player heading out of the exit door at the Signul Iduna Park if they fail to pull themselves up from sixth place to a Champions League qualifying spot.

According to German outlet WAZ, there are seven other big names from the Dortmund squad who could be on the chopping block to free up cash.

It is claimed that the likes of Axel Witsel, Manuel Akanji, Mahmoud Dahoud, Giovanni Reyna, Jude Bellingham, Raphael Guerreiro and Erling Haaland may also be sold.

The final four of those are labelled ‘medium-term’ departures, meaning they are in no rush to get rid of them, as they will likely fetch a higher fee the more established they become.

Missing out on the Champions League is likely to force players like Haaland to consider their options, with clubs like Real Madrid and Chelsea still keen on him.

The most likely departure for Dortmund this week should still be Sancho though, according to Sky Sports in Germany.

It is claimed that Sancho is 90 per cent likely to leave Germany in the next transfer window.

It is not clear if he will head to United though, with Sky Sports in the UK reporting that the Red Devils were no longer looking to sign the England international.

Following their 1-0 win over West Ham in the FA Cup, United are back in action on Sunday when they travel to West Brom.
