Manchester United are in talks with Atletico Madrid and Norwich over potential deals for Kieran Trippier and Max Aarons, according to reports. Both players are being eyed by the club amid uncertainty over Diogo Dalot’s future. The right-back is currently on loan at AC Milan and, it seems, won’t be returning to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Manchester United are keen to sign a right-back at the end of the campaign.

And CalcioMercato say the Red Devils are unlikely to keep hold of Dalot, who is spending the season away from Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old has impressed for Milan this season, making eight appearances and helping them emerge as one of the favourites for the Serie A title.

And with Dalot expected to go, the publication claims United are in talks with Atletico and Norwich over potential deals for Trippier and Aarons.

Trippier was a January transfer target for the club.

But the Red Devils opted against recruiting the England international after he was penalised by the FA for betting offences.

His Premier League experience counts in his favour, however, and it’s feasible United will move to snap him up at the end of the campaign.

Aarons is another on their radar.

The Norwich star saw a dream move to Barcelona break down in the summer transfer window but, since then, has sparkled in the Championship.

Aarons’ fine form has helped Norwich move on from Premier League relegation to sit top of the Championship table, one point ahead of Brighton.

United have previously raided the Championship for Daniel James.

And with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanting an attacking right-back to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, a summer switch could be on the cards.

Dalot isn’t expected to return to Old Trafford.

He failed to impress Solskjaer last term, with the Norwegian thinking the full-back was too cautious when on the ball.

And Sevilla are targeting a move though Milan currently appear frontrunners in the race for his signature.

Meanwhile, speaking in January, Dalot opened up on his ‘bittersweet’ move to Milan – admitting he felt he was unable to prove his worth for United during his time there.

“Of course, the feeling is a little deeper, more because I didn’t have the time I liked physically,” he told Record.

“I spent great moments at United. I played very important games for me and the team.

“I left with a bit of a bittersweet feeling for not being physically available for all those games I lost due to injury.

“But it is what it is. I wouldn’t change anything because what I learned was very important for my future and how I am now.

“I don’t regret it or look back with disappointment.”

Dalot also admitted he was flattered by how United fans rated him, and also believes the Milan faithful have taken kindly to him as well.

“It is always positive to see the feedback from Milan fans and the affection that United fans have for me,” he said.

“It’s fantastic to feel that.

“But my focus is solely and exclusively on the present. The gift is Milan and helping the club to fulfil its goals and mine. It wouldn’t be professional to be otherwise.”
