Hamilton performs tricks on jet ski as F1 champ goes on yacht break with Rosberg

Lewis Hamilton was spotted performing tricks on a jet ski while aboard a luxury yacht with former Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg on Wednesday.

Hamilton, who finished seventh in last Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix, could be seen whizzing around the ocean in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France, during an outing with Rosberg and his family.

The reigning F1 world champion showed off his skills on a different vehicle for a change by catching the waves in the watercraft, while also trying out a flyboard on his day off from racing.

Rosberg, meanwhile, opted for a slightly more reserved jet-ski approach while riding with his five-year-old daughter.

Hamilton could only produce a seventh-place finish in Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen taking the championship lead from him after dominating the race throughout.

The Brit rued Mercedes' pit-stop strategy after the setback, which backfired early on when it lost them track position on a street circuit where overtaking is extremely difficult.

"Three places it cost me," he told Sky Sports F1.

"I don't really have a reaction to it, I think we do all our talking in the background and we'll work together and try to come out of this stronger.

"We underperformed as a team all weekend, from the get go, so we'll just put our focus on the next race.

"Congratulations to Max and his team, they did a great job."

Hamilton will look to regain the championship lead at the next race around the Baku Street Circuit in Azerbaijan on June 6, a stop on the F1 calendar which couldn't be held last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
