Jacksonville Jaguars coach Urban Meyer buys house on same block as Tim Tebow

Jaguars coach Urban Meyer and wife Shelley have bought a home in Jacksonville — on the same block as a familiar face: Tim Tebow.

A warranty deed was granted to the revocable trust fund of Shelley Jean Meyer on April 16 for $2.15 million in the gated Glen Kernan Golf & Country Club, according to Duval County property records.

The house, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record, has four bedrooms and five bathrooms at 5,785 square feet with a heated pool and spa and summer kitchen.

Tebow purchased a house down the block — five minutes by foot — in 2019 for $2.99 million, records show.

The Meyers sold their Columbus-area home in Ohio last week, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

Meyer returned to coaching this winter when the Jacksonville Jaguars hired him as head coach. The 56-year-old had stepped away from his role as the Ohio State Buckeyes head coach after the 2018 season and had been a college football analyst for Fox Sports.

Tebow, according to reports, worked out for the Jaguars at tight end recently. Tebow played quarterback for Meyer at the University of Florida, where they won two national championships together.
