Clyde Edwards-Helaire injury update: Chiefs RB leaves game vs. Bills with knee injury
One of the Chiefs’ offensive weapons is out for the remainder of Kansas City’s “Sunday Night Football” affair with the Bills.
The team ruled running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire out with a left knee injury he suffered in the third quarter.
Edwards-Helaire was helped off the field by teammates, but then he walked to the locker room and X-ray room, according to the NBC broadcast.
He was held in check before leaving the game; 13 yards on seven carries.
Edward-Helaire, the 32nd overall pick in last year’s NFL Draft, had 803 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games as a rookie. So far this season, the Baton Rouge native has 65 carries for 304 yards, (4.67 yards a carry), but he has not yet had a run of 20 or more yards.
