5. JOE DANIHER’S STARTING PRICE
Smokin’ Joe is on fire in the pre-season, booting goals from everywhere as he starts a new chapter of his AFL career at the Brisbane Lions.
With a bargain KFC SuperCoach price of just $233,300, even Essendon fans can enjoy watching him leap over packs and launch torps from outside 50.
6. LOYALTY ISN’T EVERYTHING
Richmond supporters will be spilling their hot chips if Patrick Cripps gets a free kick in front of goal in the first game of the year. That is, all the Tiger fans who don’t have Cripps in their KFC SuperCoach team.
SuperCoach is a great reason to cheer for players you normally barrack against or admire from afar. Love Nat Fyfe as a player? Whack him in your SuperCoach team and he’s “your man”.
Know someone whose brother-in-law lives next-door to the Western Bulldogs boot-studder who has passed on a juicy bit of pre-season news from inside the club about a player set to break into the team or play a new role? Pick him in KFC SuperCoach and brag about it all season.
7. ROWELL POWER
Matt Rowell hit the AFL like an atomic bomb last year, polling nine Brownlow votes in his first four matches in the big time. The red-headed Gold Coast gun was also a SuperCoach scoring machine — and he’s one of the most popular picks in the game this year.
He’s not too expensive due to his unfortunate injury in Round 5, so get on the Rowell train and enjoy the ride.
