Oleksandr Usyk shows off body transformation as he bulks up to 16st 5lbs
Oleksandr Usyk has showed off a huge body transformation after bulking up – and sent a fierce warning to the heavyweight division.
The Ukrainian has enjoyed an unbeaten career in the ring at cruiserweight before stepping up for the last two fights.
After beating Derek Chisora last October to the WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight title, he became the mandatory challenger to Anthony Joshua.
And footage has emerged of Usyk showing off his huge body transformation to get to a weight of 16st 5lbs.
Measuring himself on some scales at 105kg at a gym, the 34-year-old has bulked up with a huge chest and massive arms.
It marks a big change from the toned physique the Ukrainian used to see off Tony Bellew in his last cruiserweight fight three years ago to retain his undisputed belts.
After reading the scales, he looks to the camera with a muscular pose and says: “What’s up heavyweight? I’m here!”
While Usyk is the mandatory challenge to four-belt heavyweight champion AJ, the Brit is set to face WBC holder Tyson Fury this August.
And the Ukrainian is now wanted for a fight by emerging talent Joe Joyce, having beaten Daniel Dubois last November to retain his unbeaten start.
The 35-year-old said: “Of course I want that Usyk fight, I want revenge for our fight in the World Boxing Series and doing it for the WBO heavyweight title would be the icing on the cake.
“That is what I am in boxing for.
“It would be a great fight and I would be much better prepared for it next time around.

“Last time I was still a novice really and hardly had any southpaw sparring going into it. It would be amazing to have the rematch in the pros.”
But Fury has backed the Brit if he were to take on Usyk in the ring.
Speaking to Behind the Gloves , the Gypsy King said: “Easy, Joyce stopping him. I don’t think Usyk is the big threat everyone once thought he was a few years ago.”
