Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers is finally set to become a professional boxer in the coming months, and has already revealed he has his eye on fighting YouTube star Jake Paul in the future.
Chalmers began his fighting career in mixed martial arts, after competing in Bellator’s welterweight and lightweight divisions up until 2021.
The 33-year-old’s MMA record stood at respectable five wins and two losses, with his final bout coming in a defeat to American Austin Clem in February 2020.
However the former Geordie Shore star has now put his cage fighting career behind him as he seeks to succeed in the boxing ring.
As a result, boxing promoters BOXXER announced that Chalmers had signed a multi-fight deal to fight on Sky Sports, and will be trained and managed by Adam Booth.
In a post on social media they wrote: “#WelcomeToBOXXER, @AaronCGShore.
“Under the watchful eye of @boxingbooth, Chalmers is ready to take on the boxing scene.”
And it is no secret who the Geordie has his eye on, after already calling out YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul late last year.
The American was set to take on Tommy Fury last December, following months of online bad-mouthing.
However, the bout collapsed just two weeks before fight night after Fury was forced to pull out due to a rib injury sustained in training.

Whilst Paul was in talks with the former Love Island star, Chalmers called out the YouTuber to tell him he was taking on the ‘wrong person’ if he wanted to fight someone from the UK.
Last September he told Paul: “With all due respect, if you’re looking at fighting someone from the UK who does big numbers you’re looking at the wrong person.
“Just look at the viewings every Bellator card I was on, sold out my home town arena twice. Let’s fight Jake Paul”
However Paul’s priorities could well lie elsewhere, after openly revealing he wants to take on another MMA star in UFC legend Conor McGregor.
Last week, the YouTube star said: “I want to fight Conor McGregor. I will fight him in a boxing ring in Ireland.
“That’s partially how this boxing journey started, I made up my mind that I was going to get a fight McGregor and win it.”
Despite his demands though, Paul has been told by one of the Irishman’s teammates Cian Cowley that he has to fight a member of McGregor’s team before he gets a shot at the ex-UFC champion.
He wrote on Instagram: “[Paul] Has to try beat one of us first before he gets a shot at the king.”
