Frank Warren has blasted Jake Paul, Tommy Fury and John Fury after their cringeworthy antics in Dubai on the weekend.

Fury fought on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather Jr v Deji bout at the Coca Cola Arena, but only in an exhibition bout after he came in overweight for his scheduled clash with Paul Bamba. And during his mediocre contest with Rolly Lambert, YouTuber Paul came down from the stands and got himself on co-commentary.

He proceeded to repeatedly yell abuse at his rival, shouting “you f***ing suck” and “you have no d***." Afterwards, an irate Fury tried to launch himself at 'The Problem Child', offering him into the ring. Dad John then got involved, ripping off his top and shadow boxing amid farcical scenes.

Backstage, Mayweather was less than impressed by it all, and refused to come out for the main event until Paul had left the arena. And despite promoting Fury and older brother Tyson, Queensbury supremo Warren was scathing of the chaotic scenes.

“I’m glad I wasn’t there," he told talkSPORT. "It’s all a bit silly and gets a bit ridiculous, but I don’t know, but for some reason it is what it is. This sort of YouTube type of thing, remember I come from the purest boxing background, and I look at it sometimes and I just scratch my head, but maybe I’m just getting older and I’m missing the point."

Warren, 70, added such "nonsense" wouldn't have been permitted in the UK, and said the two rivals should settle their verbal feud in the ring: “If you both want to earn a few quid, you’re going to earn huge money for it, just get the fight on and do it in the ring, that’s where you’ve got to make it happen, all the rest of the nonsense doesn’t matter," he added.

Will Tommy Fury finally have the bottle to fight Jake Paul? Let us know in the comments section.

That notion appears a step nearer, with John – who Paul later mocked in a social media post by likening the trainer to Shrek – revealing in the post-match press conference he'd shaken hands on a bout between his son and the internet star. Indeed, on Wednesday Paul claimed via Instagram that a contract has been sent to the Fury camp, with a seven-day deadline to sign it.

The pair have twice scheduled bouts before, with Fury withdrawing on each occasion. He pulled out amid claims of a bacterial rib infection first time around, before being prevented from flying to the US the second time.

But despite his apparent reluctance to put his thus far unbeaten record on the line, Warren implied there would be no u-turn this time around: “It’s life changing money for Tommy and for me it’s a no-brainer for him to fight him," he said.
