Eddie Hall tears up in emotional moment minutes before Hafthor Bjornsson fight
Eddie Hall was in tears during an emotional moment minutes before his fight with Hafthor Bjornsson.
The two strongman rivals settled their differences in the boxing ring last month, with Bjornsson coming out on top against his British counterpart. Hall has released a behind-the-scenes look at the bout which shows him pay tribute to best friend Bazza Bailey, who took his own life in July 2020.
Ahead of making his ring walk, he gathered his team and looked at photos while beginning to cry. "When this journey started he was always one of my number one supporters," Hall said on his YouTube video.
"Through all the strongman stuff too. And I just know that if he was alive with me today, he would be bouncing around with me too excited for this fight.
"I know he is looking down wishing me well and watching me knock that guy out. I fight for many reasons but he is one of them, let's do it for Baz."

Hall's ring gear on the night included a piece of material taken from Bazza's clothes, who passed away aged 50. The 34-year-old put on a valiant display but was ultimately outpointed by Bjornsson.
It was only his first professional fight compared to his opponent's fourth. So a rematch could be on the cards between the two former World's Strongest Man winners.
First Hall must get a tattoo before Bjornsson will agree to run it back as that was a part of their pre-fight agreement.
