Deontay Wilder’s super slim body transformation months after Tyson Fury knockout

Deontay Wilder has left fans shocked by his super slim body transformation nearly a year after his last fight in the ring.

The American boxer has been reeling since his thrashing at the hands of Tyson Fury in October 2021 in Las Vegas. It was the third and final fight of their legendary trilogy bout, none of which Wilder managed to claim victory in.

Having lost the second clash, the Bronze Bomber was desperate to get back his WBC heavyweight title in an epic third clash that earned the 2021 Fight of the Year accolade. In an absolute slug-fest between two giants, Fury emerged victorious with a monstrous right hand in the 11th round.

The British boxer has since retired while Wilder has yet to step back into the ring and the Alabama-born star looks completely different since that incredible night in Las Vegas last year. In a post shared by fellow boxer Michael Hunter, Wilder is back in the gym but has slimmed down considerably and fans have been left shocked.

One fan wrote: “Is Deontay OK? He looks unhealthy, really thin.” And another fan added: “Someone get that man a decent meal.”

However, a theory was floated by a third supporter, who said: "He’s light, because he knows Oleksandr Usyk will beat Anthony Joshua, then he can fight Usyk at any weight Usyk demands, which Fury can’t. Then he will get beat up by Usyk for x amount of rounds, but land one and he’s the champ again.”

There has been talk of Wilder retiring after so long out of the ring and his slimming-down will only add weight to those rumours but the 36-year-old has insisted he has "more fight" left in him. He said: "With fighters, it's hard to ask a fighter. When you putting up your glove? Because our mentality always feel like we got another round in us.

"We got another fight in this. We got another. I mean it's just when you love doing something, you never want to. You never, especially when you at a top level and you're making millions of dollars, you know what I'm saying?

"It's kinda hard to like win, especially when you're young and you active and you do so they always in question, when are you able to stop?"
