UFC fans all say fighters not being paid enough as star seen delivering pizzas

UFC fans all made the same inevitable joke after heavyweight star Tai Tuivasa was seen working in Domino's.

‘Bam Bam’ has become one of the most exciting stars in the heavyweight division. But after winning five consecutive bouts in a winning run stretching from 2020 to 2022, his momentum has been on the decline, after losing consecutive bouts against Ciryl Gane and Sergei Pavlovich.

Such a drop in form would leave many fighters feeling rather glum. However, stunned UFC supporters were beginning to fear the worst after videos of the Australian, donned in full uniform, emerged on social media.

He was seen handing out pizzas to customers in the store and even carrying out some home deliveries. And, inevitably, these amusing photos and videos have led to UFC fans making the same joke. “UFC really doesn't pay their fighters,” one fan laughed on social media, citing the frequent complaints UFC stars, past and present, have made.

“The way I would’ve missed out meeting bam bam because I always put contactless delivery,” another wrote, with a huge tone of disappointment.

“Jesus you have to pay this guy more,” a second tweeted, while also tagging the UFC chief Dana White, before a fourth wrote “Khamzat as an Uber driver and Tai Tuivasa as a Domino's pizza driver. Dana, please pay your fighters,” referencing the recent video of Khamzat Chimaev chauffeuring four women as an Uber driver.

To disappoint, or relieve, MMA fans, ‘Bam Bam’ was starring in a Dominos media campaign in Western Sydney, to promote their new ‘Pizza, Pasta range’. At present, it is currently unknown when Tuivasa’s next fight will be.

Dana White has repeatedly found himself hitting back at claims that he does not pay his fighters enough money.

Former heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou recently walked out of the fighting division completely after failing to strike an agreement on a new contract.
