Pimblett’s Anfield plan over as Dana White won’t "go outside in f****** England"

Dana White has no interest in helping Paddy Pimblett secure his dream UFC fight at Liverpool's Anfield stadium, because he won't go outside for an event especially in "f****** England".

The UFC president has more than one concern over the outside factors when events take place in the open air, especially in a place that has unpredictable weather conditions, like Merseyside in the United Kingdom.

The Baddy said after his second UFC triumph that he was keen to fight in his spiritual home of Anfield, and that he and pal Meatball Molly McCann would be able to sell it out.

Following his submission victory over Rodrigo Vargas at UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Aspinall back in March, Pimblett took exception to the packed out 02 Arena.

He said: "The O2 Arena is too small for me. A lot of people come to watch me and Molly.

"Get Anfield on, get Anfield on and I will sell it out."

"Yeah, I’m not going outside," White told the The Spinnin Backfist MMA Show this week when asked if the Anfield show was a possibility.

"I’m definitely not going outside in f****** England. Listen, if you’re going to go outside you go to Abu Dhabi where it’s hot as hell and absolutely not going to rain.

"But I don’t even like that. I don’t like having any outside factors that can affect the fight. Heat, wind, any of that stuff that can hurt the outcome of a fight, I don’t like."

White said after his UFC London triumph that the interest in the 27-year-old had been clear to see during fight week.

He said: "I think the best way I can explain it to you is, I posted the staredowns for the heavyweights, you know, the main event. And they did a 120,000 views.

"Paddy's staredown did 1.3 million on my Instagram."

Initially Pimblett wasn't announced on the July 23 card alongside the likes of Molly McCann, Darren Till and Tom Aspinall, but the boss says he wasn't aware of any difficulties in making a deal.

White also spoke about his decision to bring UFC back to London a matter of months after their March show, saying that the market was so "badass" that it was an obvious call to make.

He went on to say urge anybody who hasn't seen a UFC event in England to take a vacation and head to London to witness what he calls a once in a lifetime experience.
