McGregor vs Poirier prize money: How much does the winner earn from UFC 257 victory?
UFC: McGregor sends message to Poirier
Conor McGregor faces a tough test against Dustin Poirier on Saturday night, when the pair come face-to-face in the UFC Octogan on Fight Island, in Abu Dhabi. How much will the winner earn for the UFC 257 main event?
McGregor has predicted an early knockout when he faces Poirier on Saturday night.
The Notorious needed just 40 seconds to beat Donald Cerrone in his last fight, 12 months ago.
McGregor caught Cerrone with a high left-kick, and the American could only manage to survive in the fight for another few seconds.
The Irishman expects the fight against Poirier to follow a similar theme, although he’ll know that he’ll have to be at his very best to secure victory.
Poirier goes into the fight in excellent form, having most recently beaten Dan Hooker.
The Diamond has won 26 fights in his professional career, having only lost six.
This also won’t be the first time that Poirier and McGregor will meet in the Octagon.
McGregor beat Poirier back in September 2014, with the fight lasting just one minute and 46 seconds.
