  • Ex-UFC strawweight champion Jessica Andrade says she will drop the sports bra after one of her breasts fell out in her last bout.

Andrade will face Yan Xiaonan at UFC 288 in her first fight since losing to Erin Blanchfield in February. After the loss, Andrade told fans she briefly lost focus during the right as she felt her breast slip out of her sports bra.

While the Brazilian insisted she was not trying to find an excuse for the incident, she admitted her concentration was knocked by the unfortunate wardrobe malfunction. Nearly two months after her embarrassing moment, she is overthrowing her fighting wardrobe to ensure it does not happen again.

“Yes, especially because of the weight now,” the South American said when asked if she is going to change her gear. “It’s even lower. I had the extra small and asked to make it really tight.

“I don’t want it to happen. I don’t want anything to be running. I don’t want anything to be exposed.

“Do not worry. I’m gonna even look fat a little bit. You’re going to see some fat coming from [some spots], it’s gonna be so tight.” After her loss to Murphy, Andrade gave her fans a detailed account of what happened after her wardrobe choice came back to hurt her.

She said, "I was worried about my top because it was kind of running there, exposing me. At that point, I was not focused enough on the fight, and I let this one thing kind of destabilise me.

“And what happened? Got down to the ground. Even in the locker room, coach said, ‘What is the one thing that you cannot let happen? Don’t give your back.’ And, well, this is the learning experience I’ve had.

“First of all, don’t give your back to Erin Blanchfield. And also focus. Focus on the fight at all times. Don’t let a small thing take the focus off the big thing, because that’s what happened right there. You saw it.”
