Conor McGregor net worth: How much is the UFC 257 star worth?
UFC: McGregor sends message to Poirier
Conor McGregor is widely regarded as one of the best UFC fighters in the world. This also makes the Irishman hugely marketable, pulling in millions of dollars in fight purses, PPV sales and endorsements. That trend is also expected to continue with his latest outing against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257.
This will be the second clash between the pair, with McGregor winning the first bout via TKO inside two minutes at UFC 178 in 2014.
The Notorious’ earnings for that fight was $200,000, including a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.
However, he is set to take home $3million (£2.2m) from the rematch, The Sun reports.
McGregor tweeted ahead of the showdown in Abu Dhabi: “I promise a masterpiece.”
How much is Conor McGregor worth?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, McGregor’s overall wealth is valued at $120m (£88m).
His first-round stoppage of Donald Cerrone last time saw him earn $3m (£2.2m).
He received a similar purse from the 2018 defeat against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The Dubliner’s biggest payout to date came from the 2017 boxing showdown with Floyd Mayweather.
According to Forbes, he walked away with $85m (£62m), more than double what he was initially guaranteed.
The Dublin fighter has lucrative sponsorship deals with Reebok, who reportedly pay him $5m (£3.6m) per year, as well as a multimillion-dollar contract with Monster Energy.
McGregor also has his own whiskey brand called Proper No 12, which he claims made in excess of $1bn (£730m) in its first year.
He tweeted: “Over $1b generated in Whiskey sales in my first year!
“Like it or not, there is a new King in town! Proper Whiskey, liquid sunshine!”
Despite the vast amounts of cash McGregor has earned, the fighter has previously insisted money is not his motivation.
He said: “For me, it’s not about money, it’s forever money now.
“No amount of money will stop my hunger to compete and entertain.”
McGregor and Poirier are due to battle it out at 5am GMT on Sunday morning.
