Chunky 27st MMA fighter flattened by sucker punch from nine-stone rival
A chunky 27-stone mixed martial arts fighter has been flattened by a sucker punch from his nine-stone rival in Russia.
The bizarre fight occurred at Wednesday night's Epic Fighting Championship event, one of a number of MMA promotions to utilise the increasingly-popular 'freak show fights'.
Their latest fight card included a bout between a scrawny fighter nicknamed 'Psycho' and his opponent, Alexey Belyaev, who weighed three times more than him.
Prior to Psycho's knockout blow, someone from his corner had entered the ring to haul Belyaev off him and save his fighter from a submission defeat in a strange ending to the fight.
Belyaev had his opponent on the floor and had placed his entire body on top of him as he looked to secure a submission.
His attempts were disrupted by the intruder, though, who pulled the 27-stone fighter off of Psycho, with the referee doing little to stop him.
As Psycho got up from the floor he turned and landed a sucker punch on his opponent, causing him to flop backwards on to the deck.
The bizarre ending to the fight had MMA fans in social media confused, with one commenting on footage of the fight: "What the f*** is even happening lol."

Another compared the bout to WWE due to the seemingly staged nature of the intruder's entrance and the knockout blow.
Psycho has previously fought in the Hardcore Fighting Championship, another Russian promotion, and also goes by the name 'Vlad' on social media.
As for Belyaev, he was introduced under the name Forkadych on fight night, and claims to be a TikTok millionaire in his Instagram biography.
The Epic Fighting Championship describes itself as bringing an "era of universal trash" on Instagram and YouTube.
Wednesday's card also included a mismatch between a 55-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, with the female fighter replaced by a man mid-fight.
A three-on-three cage fight was also staged on the same fight card.
