Wimbledon have stopped play on the outside courts for a second consecutive day with light rain falling on the All England Club.

A few hours passed with light rain falling before play was resumed just after midday.

But the long period of time without any matches being played outside led to more than 20 being cancelled by the end of the day.

That put more pressure on play going ahead as normal on Tuesday and matches were able to get underway at 11am.

But just as action was getting underway on Centre Court and Court One, the rain soon started to come down.

Asheligh Barty’s match against Carla Suarez Navarro and Alexander Zverev’s tie versus Tallon Griekspoor was momentarily postponed while the roofs were closed on both courts.
