Novak Djokovic is closing in on a place in the quarter final of the Australian Open with the Serbian looking back to his imperious best against Alex de Minaur in Melbourne.
Djokovic, 35, has struggled with a left hamstring injury throughout the tournament, stirring optimism among Aussie tennis fans that their hometown hero could send the nine-time winner packing.
But he was taught a lesson by the Serbian in the first two sets on Rod Laver Arena, with Djokovic leading 6-2, 6-1 after just 75 minutes.
