Djokovic reacts to ‘ridiculous’ decision that could have cost him Paris win

Novak Djokovic said it was “ridiculous” to allow Holger Rune to challenge a ball after hitting his return during their three-set match at the Rolex Paris Masters. The world No 1 was booed by the crowd when he approached the umpire to question the decision in the second set, when he was just two points from victory. Djokovic went on to win 7-5 6-7(3) 6-4 but admitted that the call could have cost him the match and shouldn’t have happened at such an important moment.
