Djokovic branded GOAT by rival’s partner for impersonating Snoop Dogg
Novak Djokovic made an impression on his rivals in Monte Carlo after his performance at the player party. The world No 1 dressed up as Snoop Dogg and danced to one of his songs before rapping Eminem. And he won over more fans with his x-factor off the court, including the girlfriend of his latest victim at this week’s Masters as Ivan Gakhov’s partner branded him the GOAT.
Djokovic made a winning return to competition in Monte Carlo on Tuesday, defeating surprise qualifier Gakhov 7-6(5) 6-2 after being made to work in the opening set. The world No 198 had already shared his admiration for the Serb both before and after the match, calling him the “best”.
The qualifier’s partner now appears to agree – though for a completely different version. Gakhov’s girlfriend took to Instagram to share some footage of the top seed at the Monte Carlo player party on Wednesday night, showing him dressed as Snoop Dogg as she called him “the goatest”.
Djokovic donned chains, sunglasses, a bandana and fake long hair for his performance, as he danced to Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s famous track The Next Episode. The 22-time Grand Slam champion committed to the bit, also wearing a hoodie with low-rise baggy pants.

“Last night recap,” Gakhov’s partner wrote. “Are we google to finally settle the debate on why he is the goatest?” she added, tagging her boyfriend’s conqueror. In a second video, Djokovic can be heard rapping Eminem’s Lose Yourself with three others on the stage.
“Kings doing their kings’ s***t on the players’ party,” she wrote over the footage. “I mean… The levels of enthusiasm, self-irony and pure joy outside of their achievements is what makes them so truly worthy. Wow. I am so grateful to be able to witness it.”

Djokovic will now have to return to the day job, as he takes on 16th seed Lorenzo Musetti in the third round of Monte Carlo after beating Gakhov.
