Wrexham’s Paul Mullin staying at Rob McElhenney house after punctured lung
Wrexham owner Rob McElhenney has revealed star striker Paul Mullin will be staying with him in the US 'until he can go home'.
Mullin punctured a lung following a collision with Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop during a friendly match in San Diego. The striker was taken to a local hospital – where he was discharged the following day.
Speaking to S4C, McElhenney said: "This Paul thing is devastating to the club but, again, it's a contact sport and these things happen.
"He's OK. I just texted with him this morning. He's in San Diego and he's going to come over and stay with us for a couple of weeks until he can leave and head back to Wales."

Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson was livid with the challenge: "It is a real blow for us, you can’t hide away from that. I thought it was a clumsy challenge from the goalkeeper and it should have been a straight red.
"If you add the two scenarios together, he should have been off the pitch. It was a dangerous challenge and Mulls is our talisman. I’m fuming with it, I have to be honest about that.

"It was a clumsy, reckless challenge in a pre-season game. I can’t say any more than the fact I’m not happy with it at all."
The Welsh side ran out 3-1 winners against a heavily rotated United side, who had Travis Binnion in the dugout.
Meanwhile, there has been no time frame given for when Mullin could return, with Wrexham kicking off their Football League campaign next week against MK Dons.
