What is the Women’s Euro 2022 format?

The 16 teams have been drawn into four groups of four nations.

The group winners and runners-up will advance to the knockout rounds.

It’s then a straight knockout tournament, with extra time and penalties if necessary. There will be quarterfinals, semifinals and a final.

The tournament is being hosted by England.
